What's in it for the Municipality?
  • A quality workshop that is instructional and meets the outreach requirements of your MS4 permit
  • Key presenters from the storm water and/or regulatory community who provide challenging presentations and hands-on project scenario's
  • Advertising tools and ideas to help you promote your event, such as press releases, posters, flyers, mailers, and email templates
  • A link on the "got SWPPP?" website that will include not only the promotion of the event, but downloadable resources, and a participant blog
  • Event logistics including audio and video, handouts, nametags, certificates of completion, and meals
  • Convenient on-line event registration and payment system
  • Coordination of storm water vendors and service providers
  • No charge to your municipality for the event. Only participants and vendors are charged for the event. We allow the host municipality to admit up to 2 persons free
What does our staff need from the Municipality?
  • An enthusiastic contact person to be the municipality's event representative
  • Ideas to make the workshop customized to your municipality and the needs of your storm water management program
  • Promotion of the event to the targeted audience. To have a successful event, you should advertise the workshop through email, mailers, posters, and newspaper ads/articles
  • Permission to use your municipality's name and logo on the promotional and workshop materials
  • Suggestions of local storm water vendors and service providers that you would like to see promoted in the event
  • A location where the event can be held that will accommodate at least 50 persons
  • Suggestions for local sandwich shops. We like to use local businesses for these events
  • Event logistics such as chairs, tables, and access to the building at least three hours before the event
  • A person to determine and validate continuing education credits if needed by your municipality
